Join us for a series of winter medicine making workshops in collaboration with Melissa Harvey at the Moor Imagination Centre in Buckfastleigh.
Join community-herbalist and grower Mariam Mohamed for this hands-on workshop teaching you how to keep yourself warm and well over the winter months. Come along and build your own winter apothecary!
In this workshop we will be making three traditional winter remedies. You will have the chance to blend your own winter tea, to make a blend of herbs for steam inhalation, and to make a decongestant chest rub, all to support your respiratory health this winter. You will learn about the traditional and current uses of these winter remedies, be introduced to the herbs and how to safely use them, and be taught hands-on medicine making skills. We will be providing organic herbs that have been grown in the Wyse Worts and Radical Plant Folk herb gardens based at School Farm, Dartington.
Mariam is a community herbalist, trainee medical herbalist, grower and teacher, who also runs the Radical Plant Folk community herb garden.
Where: Moor imagination collective, Buckfastleigh
Cost: £35 to £45 (sliding-scale)
