Spring Wild Food and Medicine Walk
Sunday April 26th | 10-12.30pm
Join us this April for a community plant walk in Dartington where we will be getting to know spring edible and medicinal plants.
On this guided walk you will learn basic plant identification skills and botany. We will share stories, folklore and recipes. We will also share best tips on how to sustainably and ethically forage for wild food and medicine. The walk will be gentle and suitable for all. We will begin and end at the community herb garden, School Farm. This is a chance to slow down, connect to the season and learn about what’s growing in our local area.
We intend for the space to be welcoming and look forward to hearing other’s plant stories, knowledge and recipes. The walk is suitable for both beginners and more experienced foragers/plant enthusiasts.
The walk will last around 2 hours with time to gather at the end with a wild tea and take a look at the plants that we have gathered on our walk.
Meeting point: Herb Garden, School Farm CSA, Dartington (see directions here)
We are a social enterprise, so booking onto one of our courses, workshops or events helps support our community garden project.
Sliding-scale tickets: In order to make this event as accessible as possible we have kept the ticket price as affordable as we can so that we are only covering our costs. If you are a high-earner or can afford to please consider buying a supporter ticket.
Please note:
As we are a small social enterprise we are unable to offer refunds unless made within 24 hours. Occasionally if we are able to sell your ticket we can offer a refund or swap your place for a later date.
In the afternoon we are also running a 2 hour spring herbal fermentation workshop. You are welcome to book separately here for that.
